Dr. Broujerdi performs Upper Blepharoplasty procedure by placing the incision in an exciting natural crease line of the upper eyelid. He removes excess skin and herniated fat during the procedure.  He also removes excess skin from the corner of the eyelids to create a full open look to the eyes. Once you have healed your incision from surgery is minimally visible and concealed in the eyelid crease.  Upper eyelid surgery can be performed alone, in combination with an endoscopic brow lift, lower eyelid blepharoplsty, laser skin resurfacing, or as part of a full face & neck lift.

Dr. Broujerdi prefers performing the Lower Bepharoplasty procedure via a Transconjuctival (from within the lower eyelid internally) approach. This technique allows for removal of herniated fat to correct the puffiness of the lower eyelid as well as fat grafting to the lower peri-orbital region to re-store a youthful lower eyelid/cheek junction. His technique avoids the hollow look to the lower eyelid. Dr. Broujerdi avoids cutting lower eyelid skin in majority of his clients due to the high rate of eyelid droop (ectropian) and loose of natural almond shape to the eye. Dr. Broujerdi addresses excessive skin of the lower eyelid with the use of a fractionatedCO2 resurfacing laser (ACTIVEFX) which causes tightening and removes wrinkle. Lower eyelid surgery can be performed alone, in combination with an endoscopic mid face or brow lift, upper eyelid blepharoplsty, laser skin resurfacing, or as part of a full face & neck lift.

Procedure is usually preformed as an outpatient surgery in an accredited ambulatory surgical center or hospital. Dr. Broujerdi prefers patient s to spend at least one night at a private nursing facility hotel in Beverly Hills.

You should expect a minimum of one week of down time after this procedure, some patient will require longer healing period. Dr. Broujerdi and his professional office staff will assist with post surgical care information.
