Generally there are no post surgery suture removals since Dr. Broujerdi uses dissolvable suture on the skin. This is a great convincer for the parents and less stress and anxiety for the child. Dr. Broujerdi prefers that you wear some type of a head band or garment for several weeks after surgery to prevent any popping of sutures before the frame work heals.

Procedure is usually preformed as an outpatient surgery in an accredited ambulatory surgical center or hospital. Dr. Broujerdi prefers seeing his patients the next day for follow up. You should expect a minimum of one week of down time after this procedure, some patient will require longer healing period.
